Design Agency in Fulham & Parsons Green

Offering tailored design solutions, web support and expertise across a range of media platforms, Eclectic Blue are a fantastic Fulham based design agency highly recommended by the James Pendleton Marketing team.  Giles Tobin and his team can provide anything from one off consultancy or an individual design artwork to a complete rebranding, all with a refreshing lack of confusing jargon.  We’ve spoken to Giles to find out more about how his team can help South West Londoners.

How long have you been based in South West London and how do you feel about your neighbourhood?

I’ve been living in the Fulham & Parsons Green area  for ten years now and I have always loved the village feel the area has, in particular the fact that independent local business really thrive here.

What is your most common design request / what do you spend most of your time working with?

The majority of work we do revolves around advertising and marketing (billboards, flyers and brochures) for local companies in South West London such as restaurants, fashion retailers, property companies and venues.

What is your favourite part of your job?

I love the networking aspect of my job, I am always meeting new people and my job is varied and sociable which is fantastic.

Has the world of design changed a lot of late and how would you advise anyone looking to keep up to speed with trends and tips?

I would advise businesses to keep on top of Social Media news and trends in particular.  However, it’s also important to keep advertising in your neighbourhood; when moving around the global village, don’t forget your local village!

What common mistake do people make with design work?

It’s very important to seek advice and do your research before publishing design work, as a bad first impression can be very damaging to a brand.

If Fulham was a brand/logo what would its ‘personality’/style be?

I would have to say professional and friendly, but with real character and personality!

You can contact Eclectic Blue at should you have any design request.

South West London now better connected than ever thanks to the London Overground

For Clapham Estate Agents James Pendleton, one of the main appeals of South West London is the area’s excellent transport links.  A recent development to London’s suburban rail network has seen Clapham, Wandsworth and Battersea connected to new areas of London; a fantastic array of venues and London attractions are a short train ride away from leafy streets and independent businesses.

9th December saw a momentous change take place in the daily lives of South West London commuters with the unveiling of the London Overground extension linking Clapham Junction with Surrey Quays.  The new stretch of line passes through Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Bridge Road before reaching the UK’s busiest station with its varied local and national connections.

This new development marks an exciting time for South West London.  The time it takes to travel from Clapham Junction into North and East London has been reduced, and Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road are now a short and hassle free trip away from Shoreditch, Islington and Canary Wharf.  Business commutes, nights out on the town and shopping trips have never been easier, with a fantastic range of travel options now available to residents.

The new Overground orbital is the first to make a full loop around London since the Circle line, opened in 1884 and promises to bring thousands of passengers out of central London by eradicating the need to interchange at major central stations.  Those who travel from Clapham to Canary Wharf will now have a shorter, cheaper and more hassle free commute, and venues in the proximity of the newly converted stations should see increased footfall and publicity over coming months.

You can see a video of the extension in action here, and for more information on award winning Estate Agents in Clapham visit the James Pendleton site and contact your nearest office.

James Pendleton to help Wandsworth athlete fulfilling his Olympic dream

Aaron mcKibbin at JP websize

Wandsworth born and bred Table Tennis champion Aaron Mckibbin is set for great things: following a Bronze medal victory in the London 2012 Paralympic Games, he is now ranked 14th in the world and aims to reach the lower single digits by the next Games in 2016.  Aaron is a brilliant example of an inspirational Wandsworth resident and soon you will be able to catch up with his training news on a regular basis thanks to James Pendleton Estate Agents’ dedicated blog.

Born with bilateral talipes which affects his ankle mobility, Aaron’s skill, drive and sheer hard work have seen him transform from school lunchtime table tennis player to consummate professional in a few short years.  He describes his experience at the 2012 Games as perhaps the most incredible experience of his life:

“Usually we play in front of audiences of a few hundred people: I was one of the first to play at London 2012 and when my name was called thousands of people stood up and cheered for me as a member of the GB team.  I’ve never experienced anything like it”

The London Games redefined standards of Paralympic media coverage and increased global audience figures by a staggering 1 billion.  Suffice it to say that the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games have a lot to live up to, and that the Paralympics, and Aaron, had better get used to taking centre stage.

James Pendleton Estate Agents’ Wandsworth connections make the company the ideal sponsors for this local figurehead, and he can now be seen sporting James Pendleton branded kit at tournaments across the UK.  The company’s dedicated blog will feature videos, clippings and interviews with Aaron as he journeys toward Rio.

James Pendleton Estate Agents are absolutely thrilled to be helping a local talent with high Olympic hopes.

Keep a look-out for the latest news on Aaron on the James Pendleton website and email for more info.

Best Local Businesses: Escape with Beauty, beautician in South West London

Escape with Beauty: beautician in South West London

Escape with Beauty: beautician in South West London

With over twelve years’ experience as a beauty therapist, Nicky at Escape with Beauty carries out a wide range of treatments with expertise and having met her James Pendleton’s Marketing team can vouch for her warm and friendly personality.  Escape is a mobile service and brings luxury treatments such as massages and special occasion makeup to homes across South West London, as well as more everyday necessities such as waxing and tinting.  Prices are reasonable and Nicky puts a great deal of energy into sourcing and creating the right products and creating an elegant and comfortable experience in the comfort of your own home.

1. How long have you worked in South West London, and how do you feel about the personality of the area/your neighbourhood?

I’ve loved working here for the past 2 years, I’ve found it to be such a welcoming community and people want share new or favourite things going on in South West London, everyone is so interesting and each little area seems to have hidden gems. I enjoy living and working in the area so much and feel very lucky to be a part of South West London life.

2. What is your favourite aspect of your job?

My favourite part of the job is definitely the people I come into contact with.  I couldn’t do my job properly if I wasn’t interested in getting to know my clients and quite often their families. I feel that building a genuine rapport with the people I treat means I can offer them the best possible treatment and service.

3. Do you feel that working as a mobile therapist brings an added level of comfort and relaxation to your treatments?

I think that the majority of us feel most comfortable and confident in our own homes and familiar surroundings. Because of this I feel that the mobile service I offer adds a deeper level of relaxation to treatments. It’s also hugely convenient for my clients; there is no need to rush about or worry about finding a car parking space, which means more time can be dedicated to fully enjoying what should be a relaxing treat. I work with a large number of clients with children and the mobile service means they can have a pampering treat during nap time or while the children are playing with their toys!

4. Which of your treatments do you most enjoy performing and which do you most enjoy when you are ‘on the bench’?

I’m very lucky to have such a varied and interesting job, and even more so in that I enjoy doing all of the treatments I offer; waxing, manicures and pedicures are satisfying as you see instant results, but massage and facials are equally rewarding as you see the long term benefits.

5. Are you looking into any new treatments or products?

I’m currently working on a couple of new products which include eye pillows and heat packs to give an extra level of relaxation to my treatments and have teamed up with a fantastic holistic therapist Victoria Thomas who creates wonderful blends of massage oils.

6. Do you have any handy beauty tips for our readers?

I think one of the best tips for this time of year is regular exfoliation for the face and body. With the extreme cold weather and with central heating in constant use our skin can become quite dry and by exfoliating once a week you can really brighten dull winter skin.
