A successful cycle ride for the LivetoGive team

As fundraising teams go, James Pendleton Estate Agents’ South West London charity organisation LivetoGive is certainly active.  Since winning Trinity Hospice’s Best Charity Partnership with a Local Business award in December the team has plans aplenty in the pipeline and has organised a number of exciting events and initiatives in 2013 that you can discover here.

The latest of these was the long anticipated London to Brighton cycle ride, which saw ten representatives take to the streets on two wheels in the name of charity and raised a phenomenal £1657!  As ever, the team was fundraising for three causes with very strong local and company bonds: Action for Children, Trinity Hospice and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.  These three charities hold very great importance for this Estate Agents’ South West London team and LivetoGive has proactive links with all three: the charity organisation holds regular meetings with all three with fundraising innovation in mind.

Sunday’s 54 mile journey passed through James Pendleton Estate Agent’s South West London base, leading through Clapham, Tooting and Wandsworth on its way to the M25 before breaking out into open countryside on the way to East Sussex’s most famous destination, sometimes known as ‘London-By-The-Sea’.  The route includes some formidable hill climbs as well as many spectacular views and in LivetoGive’s prior experience of the ride there is no greater feeling than catching a first glimpse of the sea at the end of a day’s cycling!

The team are glad to report no injuries and a relatively incident free cycle.  Differing levels of training and ability meant a staggered finish for the ten but all were delighted to spot heart shaped James Pendleton balloons scattered through the crowd, one of which made it to the finish line on the back of a tandem ridden by two Blues Brothers!  As the photos show the team had a fantastic time and as the fundraising totals show they were amply supported by friends, family and well-wishers!  The team send their thanks to all who donated; if you’d like to contribute just pay a visit to LivetoGive’s JustGiving page.

When searching for a place to call home in London, it’s worth remembering that each area of the Capital has its own distinct and well defined character.  South West London is known as a residential haven with a strong community network, a reputation which is reflected by the thriving charity work which is constantly on-going in Clapham, Balham, Battersea, Wandsworth and Fulham.

South West London Estate Agents James Pendleton’s charity organisation LivetoGive has worked with locally involved charities for a number of years.  As a company with firm community connections the James Pendleton team takes great interest in what’s happening in the world of fundraising.  LivetoGive’s three charities are Action For Children, Trinity Hospice and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.  This spring and summer, LivetoGive will host an exciting programme of fundraising events which can be seen on the charity organisation’s website.  What’s more, the three worthy local charities L2G fundraises for have planned the following exciting events for the spring and summer:

National charity Action for Children runs an assortment of events across the country and welcomes fundraising suggestions from local communities.  This year’s events range from UK wide Easter Egg hunts to a half marathon through  London’s splendid parks.  On 19th May 2013 Clapham based end of life care charity Trinity Hospice will host its annual Country Fayre as well as a Golf Day and is taking part in various sporting events. In 2012 South West London Estate Agents James Pendleton was delighted to be awarded “Best Charity Partnership with a local Business” at Trinity Hospice’s bi-annual Star Ball.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home has a place in the nation’s hearts thanks to its work rehoming vulnerable animals and does a great deal of work in South West London and beyond.   As well as a host of sports and community challenges the charity hosts a heart-warming reunion day every summer in Battersea, where ex residents and their owners can revisit their meeting place.  The best place to catch up with the latest goings on at Battersea is on their facebook page, while James Pendleton’s LivetoGive team website will also post updates on the pet charity.

South West London is a fantastic place to get involved in charity work.  LivetoGive have always had tremendous local support and look forward to an exciting year of fundraising commencing with the 2013 pub quiz on March 2013.  To get involved or to register your team please visit our Justgiving page.

LivetoGive’s Trinity Hospice Star Award

The LivetoGive charity organisation is renowned for its original and successful fundraising events, which in 2012 have included two extreme endurance challenges, a long distance cycle challenge and numerous vibrant local events.  On 6th December 2012 the tables were turned as LivetoGive were invited to a stellar ceremony hosted by one of its four charities.

The Trinity Hospice Star Ball is a spectacular annual celebration of the South West London charity’s fundraising community.  Held in the plush Planit venue in Embankment, the evening’s entertainment included a giant human sized snow globe, a lively disco and a hotly contested charity auction.

The highlight of the night for the LivetoGive team came at the annual Star Awards ceremony, where the organisation’s fundraising efforts were rewarded with the Best Charity Partnership with a Local Business’ Award.  With a diverse and successful 2012 behind them the LivetoGive team have high hopes for next year and look forward to a wonderful future with Trinity and its other charity partners.
